I took this picture out of the window of an airplane on my way to Hawaii. According to the map on the plane, and backed by the image data in the picture, this was taken over the Morenci Mine in Arizona. The Morenci Mine is one of the largest copper mines in North America and represents the bulk of the US reserve of copper according to Wikipedia. I took the picture because it looked like a neat area, but it’s pretty cool that I was able to use the geo data in the picture to accurately identify the location as well.
