I love taking early morning flights because they lead to some very unique views above the clouds. Looking out the window to the west, the dark night sky with the moon still well lit and visible. Below the night sky is a sea of clouds that look like drifts of snow illuminated by the rising sun. You’d never see something like this down on the ground.

This particular trip, wonderful as it was in the air, was to Maryland to watch my niece while my parents went on vacation. It was also the last time I saw my sister before she passed.
