My niece, Elizabeth, was less than a year old here. Me, a person with no kids of his own, was brought in from 900 miles away to watch a baby on his own with only minimal prior experience in doing so. It was a scary week, but I made it through and now I have a kid of my own on the way. I’d say it was good practice.
